Commitment Ceremonies

Deciding to celebrate your love is a big deal — and commitment ceremonies are one of my favourite ways to do that. If you’re here, you might be wondering what a commitment ceremony actually is — so let’s make it simple.

A commitment ceremony is just like a wedding ceremony — but without the legal bit.

It’s perfect if:

  • You don’t want (or need) to get legally married

  • You’re already married but want to renew your commitment in a more personal way

  • You just want a beautiful day to celebrate your relationship in front of your favourite people

It can look exactly like a wedding — rings, vows, readings, music — or you can throw the rulebook out and make it completely unique.

So, what actually happens?
Here’s what it looks like when we work together:

  • We have a chat to see if we click — no pressure, just a chance to dream about what you want your day to feel like.

  • You tell me your story — how you met, what you love, what you’re celebrating.

  • I write your ceremony — completely bespoke, no templates here.

  • You get to read it — and we tweak, edit, and workshop it until it’s perfect.

  • You can book a rehearsal if you’d like (it’s optional, but brilliant if you want everyone to feel relaxed).

  • You can add vow-writing support if you want a hand putting your feelings into words.

  • On the day, I’m there to run the ceremony — so you just have to turn up, hold hands, and soak it all in.

The Legal Bit
Because a commitment ceremony isn’t legally binding, there’s nothing to sign and no paperwork to do — which means total freedom. You can have your ceremony anywhere, include anything you like, and make it as traditional or offbeat as you want.
