Wedding Blessings

Wedding Rings on Fabric

First off — congratulations! You’re planning one of the biggest days of your life, and that deserves a moment of excitement (and maybe a glass of fizz or two🍾). If you’re here, you’re probably wondering what a celebrant-led ceremony actually looks like — so let’s get into it.

So, What Actually Happens?

Here’s what it looks like when we work together:

  • We have a chat to see if we click — no pressure, just a chance to meet and dream a bit about your day.

  • You tell me your story — how you met, what you love, what makes you you.

  • I write your blessing ceremony — completely bespoke, no templates here.

  • You get to read it — and we tweak, edit, and workshop it until it’s perfect.

  • You can book a rehearsal if you’d like (it’s optional, but great for calming nerves).

  • You can add vow-writing support if you want a hand putting those feelings into words.

  • On the day, I’m there to run the ceremony — so you just have to show up, hold hands, and enjoy the moment.

The Legal Bit

In Scotland, a legally binding marriage must be conducted by either a registrar or a celebrant authorised by National Records of Scotland.

I offer personalised marriage blessing ceremonies for couples who want a ceremony that feels deeply personal, thoughtful, and entirely their own.

Because I am not authorised to conduct legal marriages in Scotland, couples who choose to work with me will also need to arrange the legal marriage separately through:

  • a local registrar

  • or an authorised religious or belief celebrant

I always encourage couples to contact their registrar or authorised religious or belief celebrant early in the planning process to make sure the legal arrangements are in place alongside the marriage blessing ceremony experience they want.

My role is to help create the meaningful, personal part of the day — the part your guests will remember.
