First off — congratulations! You’re planning one of the biggest days of your life, and that deserves a moment of excitement (and maybe a glass of fizz or two🍾). If you’re here, you’re probably wondering what a celebrant-led ceremony actually looks like — so let’s get into it.
So, What Actually Happens?
Here’s what it looks like when we work together:
-
We have a chat to see if we click — no pressure, just a chance to meet and dream a bit about your day.
-
You tell me your story — how you met, what you love, what makes you you.
-
I write your ceremony — completely bespoke, no templates here.
-
You get to read it — and we tweak, edit, and workshop it until it’s perfect.
-
You can book a rehearsal if you’d like (it’s optional, but great for calming nerves).
-
You can add vow-writing support if you want a hand putting those feelings into words.
-
On the day, I’m there to run the ceremony — so you just have to show up, hold hands, and enjoy the moment.
The Legal Bit
A celebrant-led wedding ceremony in Scotland isn’t legally binding (unless you choose a Humanist or faith-based celebrant).
But don’t worry — the legal part is just a quick appointment at the registry office before or after your big day.
It takes around 10 minutes, costs about £50–70, and then you’re free to have the wedding you actually want, wherever and however you like.
